NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- For the third time in four weeks, the Merrimack College men's lacrosse team has received a weekly honor from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).Â
... Two, actually.
Colin Kruger was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week and
Jaden Galfano was honored as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week. The well-deserved recognition comes after the Warriors defeated top-seeded Siena, 14-6, in the regular-season finale Wednesday.Â
It marks the second time in a three-week span that Kruger was named the Offensive Player of the Week, also earning the honor on April 6. Merrimack teammate
Jack Salva was named the conference's Player of the Week on March 30, as well.
Merrimack concluded the regular season in fourth place in the conference standings and thus earned the right to host No. 5 Quinnipiac in the opening round of the MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championships. The playoff matchup will be held at Duane Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m.
