Women's Swimming Debuts at Catholic Invitational

Chestnut Hill, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's swimming team opened their 2021-2022 season at the Catholic Invitational, hosted by Boston College.

Following the team's weekend debut, Coach Erin Cammann said "it was great to see the freshmen get their first races under their belt, and we're already looking forward to our dual meet in three weeks."

Friday, October 1:
  • The team had promising appearances by Jenna Durgin (in 500m) at 5:40.49, and good relay splits by by Gabby Saffer (breaststroke1:02.01 and 1:04.04) and Kelly Nulty (backstroke 29.17 and 29.62) who were in the 400 medley relay, and Skylar Pemberton (26.12), Lydia Molettieri (26.19), and Kaitlin Devaney (29.21) in the 200 freestyle relay.
Saturday, October 2:
  • Notable performances on Saturday came from Freshmen Kelly Nulty (1:01.72 in the 100 and 2:16.54 in the 200 backstroke) and Olivia Conlan (2:22.72 in the 200 fly), and Sophomore Gabby Safer (1:13.53 in the 100 breaststroke).
Up Next:
As Coach Cammann mentioned, the Warriors will next host Assumption for a dual meet on Saturday, October 23 at 2:30.
