Men's Track and Field Begins 2023-24 Campaign At Suffolk Relays

Boston, MA— The Merrimack Men's Track and Field team started their 2023-24 season in the Suffolk Relays, held at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston on Saturday afternoon.

• John Elie won the 60 meter hurdles event with a time of 8.26.
• Albert Ferreras finished second in the 5000 meter run with a time of 14:59.89.
• Cory Couture finished 2nd in the 300 meter dash with a time of 34.18, Blake Hickey finished 7th with a 35.95 & Carson Mighty rounded out the top 10 with 36.31
• The 800 meter relay team of Sean Glass, Blake Wadley, Jadis Yarborough and Cory Couture finished second in the event with a mark of 1:28.29. The team of Mark Sten, Blake Hickey, Landon Crowley and Carson Mighty finished 6th with a time of 1:30.98
• Antonio Craveiro, Luke Llewellyn, Owen Schultz, and Zachary Bail all finished in the top 10 in the mile run with Craveiro finished 5th with a time of 4:29.10, Llewellyn in 7th with a mark of 4:30.43, Schultz in 8th with a 4:31.22, & Bail in 10th with 4:32.52.
• Griffin Allaire finished 6th in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:40.53.
• Sean Glass finished 8th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.05.
• Maxim Lussier won the pole vault event with height of 4.55 meters. (14' 11") Tucker Caroll finished 8th with a 4.05 meter vault (13' 3 1/2")
• Claudel Chevalier finished 3rd in the weight throw event with a mark of 16.80m (55' 1") Jared Ptaszek finished sixth in the same event with a throw of 15.11m (49' 7") Grant Eastin placed 9th with a mark of 14.49m (47' 6")
• Brady Trask finished 6th in the triple jump event with a jump of 12.76 meters (41' 10" 1/2)
