AMHERST, MA The Merrimack men's Indoor Track and Field team concluded their final regular-season meet at the Ken O'Brien Pre-Conference Meet this past weekend, ahead of the MAAC Championships.
How it Happened I Friday April 25
- Cory Couture won the 400m dash, clocking in at 47.88 seconds. Maddox Merlo also finished top-five with a PR time of 50.06 seconds.
- John Elie Jr. finished second in the 110m hurdles with a new PB time of 14.32.
- In the 400m hurdles, Blake Hickey finished fifth, crossing the line in 57.49 seconds.
- DJ Walsh finished top-five in steeple chase with a time of 10:09.30.
- Tyler Lloyd placed fifth in high jump, securing a mark of 1.80m.
- Owen Schultz captured seventh in the 800m run with a new PR time of 1:55.12.
- Ryan Dyer paved the way for the Warriors in the 5000m run, clocking in at 15:13.87, good for seventh place. Reidar Aageson also found success in the event, racing a PB time of 15:20.61 to finish eighth.
- Sean Moore placed 16th in the 1500m in a field of over 65 competitors, with a PR time of 3:57.73. Aidan Dupill also earned a PB in the event, crossing the line in 4:00.69, good for 25th place.
- Landon Crowley led the Warriors in the 100m dash, finishing with a PR time of11.18 seconds to secure 20th with Thomas Scalia right on his heels (11.19). Carson Mighty also cracked the top-25 by racing 11.21 seconds for 23rd place.
- Crowely and Scalia also finished neck and neck in the 200m dash logging times of 22.511 and 22.517, to secure 21st and 22nd.
- Zachary Hubbard found success in javelin, tossing for 48.14m to capture seventh place. Brady Trask secured a PR mark of 44.02m to claim ninth place. Kyle Admas rounded out the top-10 with a distance of 41.42m.
- The 4x100m relay squad consisting of Landon Crowley, Thomas Scalia, Carson Mighty, and Cory Couture finished fourth with a time of 42.20.
- The 4x400m relay tandem of Jadis Yarbrough, Blake Hickey, Maddox Merlo, and Cory Couture placed third with a time of 3:16.11.
How it Happened I Sunday April 26
- The Warriors were successful in the field, as Maxim Lussier placed second in pole vault, earning a mark of 4.62m.
- Brian Gallagher finished sixth in long jump with a PB mark of 12.56m.
- Grant Eastin finished top-three in shot put, tossing for 15.50m.
- Owen LaRoss and Grant Eastin clinched 5th and 6th place respectively. LaRoss threw for 48.62m while Eastin landed at 47.14m for a PR in the event.
- Eastin also participated in hammer throw, where he placed fifth with a mark of 53.03m. Jared Ptaszek also had a successful outing, throwing 52.34m to claim sixth.
