SOMERSET, N.J. – After a stellar performance, sophomore goalkeeper Roo
Sawyer was awarded the NEC defensive player of the week on Monday afternoon by the conference.
Sawyer had a great game against the University of New Hampshire Wildcats last Thursday, making seven saves en-route to her first career clean sheet for the Warriors. Sawyer has only allowed one goal this season and has made 11 saves in her three appearances this season.
Merrimack returns to play against the University of Hartford on Wednesday September 13
th. Kickoff is set for 5 PM.
