AMESBURY, Mass. – Merrimack College women's hockey freshman forward,
Maria Lindberg was named the Hockey East Co-Rookie of the Week, which was announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Lindberg, a forward from Stockholm, Sweden, scored both goals in Merrimack's two-goal comeback in a 2-1 victory over Maine on Saturday. It was her first career two-goal game. The freshman has six goals and six assists for 12 points this season.
Merrimack returns home to open a home and home series with the University of New Hampshire Wildcats on Friday February 9
th. Puck drop is set for 6 PM.
