North Andover, Ma.-- After a 6-2 win last Friday against the LIU Sharks, Merrimack continues non-conference play this week as they face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Wednesday at 2 PM.
Nick Pierre scored twice in the win against LIU and added an assist for a team most three points. With the tallies, Pierre moved into the team lead in goals with six, and has three goals in his last three games, and five points total in that span.

Justin Gill kept his own point streak going with a two-assist effort against LIU, Gill now has points in his last five games with three goals and four assists for seven points, and 11 total in 10 games played thus far.Â

Austin Oravetz scored his first NCAA goal to go along with an assist in the win against LIU. Oravetz has points in each of the last two games played and 11 points in 57 career games.

Max Lundgren collected his fifth win with a 23 save performance in the win against LIU last Friday. Lundgren has started every game this season for the Warriors, and is posting the fifth best GAA in the conference with a 2.48 and the fourth best save percentage with a .921.
Notre Dame is looking to shake a six-game losing streak and an 0-4 road record this weekend they face two separate opponents this weekend as they face Boston College on Friday. The Fighting Irish and the Warriors have shared one common foe to this point in the season as they were defeated 7-2 by Quinnipiac on October 11th.

These teams will meet for the first time since 2017, a 4-2 Merrimack win, but they could have faced off last season as well as both teams were a part of the Friendship Four Tournament. The Warriors went 2-2 at home when these teams met in Hockey East play. They also have matched up at a national level when Merrimack reached the NCAA tournament in 2011.
