North Andover, MA-- Merrimack collected their first conference victory in style last weekend, tying the score late and winning in overtime by a score of 2-1 against the #5 ranked UConn Huskies, which was also the Warriors second win against a top 10 opponent this season. The Warriors will look to keep in rolling against Maine with games on Friday and Saturday with start times at 6 and 5 PM, Both games can be seen on ESPN+.
Emma Pfeffer continued her hot streak last weekend, scoring in both games including the tying goal in Merrimack's win over UConn. With those goals, Pfeffer has a goal in each of her last four games. She currently leads the team in goals with 9 (eighth in conference) and in points with 16.
Avery Anderson scored the game winning goal for the Warriors last Friday against UConn, her fifth goal of the season. Avery sits second on the team in goals, leads the team in assists with 10 and sits second in points with 15.
Adreanna Doucette made her return to the Warriors' net in style last weekend, making 25 saves in the first two periods for the Warriors, keeping them in the game. Hockey East acknowledged her gutsy performance as she was named Goaltender of the Week by the conference on Monday, her first time winning that award.
Maine collected two points last weekend against Vermont playing to a 2-2 tie and falling 2-1 in OT. They're looking for the first win in four games this weekend and they sit 7th in the league.
Merrimack had their five game unbeaten run snapped last season, as they went 0-2-1. However, the Warriors still have their four game win streak in Orono as one of their losses was in Portland.

Emma Pfeffer has also found the net in the matchup.
