FAIRFIELD, CT –
Colin Kruger scored a career-high five goals, but the Merrimack men's lacrosse team lost its MAAC opener 12-10 to Sacred Heart on Saturday.
The Warriors had a 7-6 halftime lead, and led 10-7 after three, but Sacred Heart came back to take the victory.
Merrimack was
Finn Dougherty scored two goals and had one assist.
John Savino,
Alystair Hemberger and
Casey Herod each scored goals for the Warriors.
Jesse D'Alonzo made 11 saves in goal for Merrimack.
The Warriors return to action next Saturday when they host Marist.
