AMESBURY, Mass.— The Merrimack College hockey programs were well-represented when the Hockey East announced its All-Academic teams on Monday morning.
The Warrior programs combined for 50 selections with both the men's team and women's team earning 25 honorees each. Among that group, Merrimack had six student-athletes named to the Academic All-Star team.
For the women's team, 25 student-athletes earned a 3.0 GPA or better in both semesters from the 2025-26 academic year with 11 members being multiple-time selections.
Sophia Hausberger was the lone Warrior to earn Distinguished Scholar status, which is awarded to a student-athlete with a 3.0 average in four varsity seasons. The Warriors also had five members named to the All-Academic All-Star Team as
Solveig Gisler,
Kerttu Lehmus,
Maria Lindberg,
Daniella Martorana and
Emma Pfeffer all were named as Top Scholar Athletes with the highest GPA in the conference.
On the men's side, 25 student-athletes were named All-Academic after they earned a 3.0 GPA or better in both semesters during the 2025-26 academic year. In an identical fashion, 11 players for the Warriors are multiple-time honorees with
Mark Hillier serving as the lone player in Hockey East to be named a five-time honoree.
Ethan Beyer was the sole Warrior to be named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team.
