HAVERHILL, Mass. – Erika Redmond carded a team-best 6-over par to help the Merrimack College women's golf team conclude Day 1 of the Warrior Invitational at Haverhill Country Club in second place.
The Warriors trail only the Boston University Terriers in the nine-team field, which includes programs from Stonehill, Holy Cross, Providence, Bentley, Bryant and Hofstra. Merrimack trails BU by 13 strokes entering Day 2 of the Warrior Invitational.
Redmond rose up the leader board with a 1-over 73 during the second round of the day. She carded three birdies on the round, and finished with six total on the day.
June Doerr enters Day 2 tied for 6th place in the field of 55 golfers. Doerr, who finished 8-over on the day, carded five birdies with a 3-over 75 being her low round of the two.
Redlichlein Hanslkie (14-over par) sits in the top 20 while Olivia Williams (16-over par) currently is tied for 25th.
The Warriors return to Haverhill Country Club for another 18 holes Tuesday morning.
