NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – First-year head coach Courtney Kennedy and the Merrimack College women's hockey team will take the ice at Lawler Rink for meaningful hockey this month.
The Warriors on Tuesday announced their 2026-27 schedule along with season tickets. The 33-game regular-season slate includes 25 games against Hockey East competition and 18 home games.
Merrimack opens its season on Sept. 24 as it hosts a non-conference back-to-back against Lindenwood. It marks the third season in a row that Merrimack will open with Lindenwood. The Warriors will stick to home ice with another non-conference homestand against Union on Oct. 2 and 3.
Kennedy, who spent more than a decade as an assistant for the Boston College Eagles, returns to her old stomping grounds when the Warriors take the ice for their Hockey East opener in Chestnut Hill on Oct. 14.
The month of October closes with the Warriors taking part in a home and home with New Hampshire on Oct. 30 and 31. The Friday night home game will be part of a Merrimack hockey double-header with the men's team taking the ice against UConn at 7 p.m.
A highlight on the schedule for the Warriors will be when they travel to Lake Placid on Thanksgiving weekend. It'll be part of a two-game tournament hosted by St. Lawrence, a trip the men's hockey team will join them on.
Merrimack's new year begins with a home game against Brown on Jan. 2, before the Warriors travel to Vermont for a back-to-back on Jan. 8 and 9. During the month of February, the Warriors will play six different opponents over their final six games with Providence (Feb. 5), Boston College (Feb. 6), New Hampshire (Feb. 12). Merrimack will play its final two home games of the regular season against Vermont (Feb. 13) and Boston University (Feb. 18) before concluding the regular season against Maine (Feb. 20).
The Hockey East Tournament will begin with the Opening Round on Feb. 24.
