Junior Abigail Amato of the softball program hit .385 over five games last weekend of the softball program, helping the Warriors to a pair of wins including their first-ever Division I triumph over St. Bonaventure followed by their first mercy-rule victory of the season over Quinnipiac. For her efforts, Amato has been named this week's Fuddruckers Female Athlete of the Week.

Amato recorded a base knock in each of the first three games of the weekend, culminating with a season-best effort against the Bobcats. Amato hit 3-for-3 against Quinnipiac, knocking in five runs while scoring two herself. She hit a three-run homer run as part of Merrimack's 13-run attack. On Saturday night, Amato set season highs in hits, runs scored and RBI. 

The Warriors resume spring break down in Florida this week with six more games beginning on Wednesday against Chattanooga.
